American professional basketball player Damian Lillard has been playing for the Portland Trail Blazers for his entire NBA career. As the years advanced, Damian Lillard had wished to be traded to the Miami Heat, however, due to a decision taken by the Portland Trail Blazers recently, Lillard’s wish came to a halt.
33-year-old Damian Lillard had expressed his interest to be traded to the Miami Heat, however, Joe Cronin, general manager for the Portland Trail Blazers has stated that it would take months for the team to secure a favorable deal for the NBA franchise.
Cronin at a press meet in Las Vegas at the NBA Summer League stated that he had learned more than anything that patience is highly important and the team should not be responsive or jump into decisions to resolve issues. Another factor in delaying Lillard’s transfer to the Miami Heat is the unreachable offer of what the Portland Trail Blazers seek for such a valued player.

Damian Lillard was a gifted basketball player since he started playing at the high school level at Arroyo High School in San Lorenzo, California, followed by St. Joseph Notre Dame High School in Alameda, California.
Lillard soon moved to the college level, and started at Weber State, in 2012, Lillard entered the NBA draft. Damian Lillard was selected by the Portland Trail Blazers as the sixth pick from the 2012 NBA Draft, since then, Lillard has played for the Trail Blazers for more than a decade. Lillard has been a Seven-Time All-Star in the NBA franchise and a prized player for the Trail Blazers, hence his transfer to the Miami Heat will certainly happen after taking much consideration for the future of the team.
