Karen Bass Becomes The First Females Mayor Of The LA: Sworn By VP Kamala Harris

Karen Bass recently takes her oath as the first lady mayor of the LA last Sunday. She was sworn by Kamala Harris to mark her historic day in her already illustrious career as a politician.

Kamala harris, the vice president who herself has been the first female and the first female of color in her designation orchestrated the swearing ceremony of Karen Bass at the City hall of LA.

Upon taking the oath, Karen seemed to be focused solely on her remarks about solving the housing crisis of the city as she seemed disturbed by the high numbers of homeless people in Los Angeles streets.

Karen Bass after the ceremony has told the press that she is concerned about how many of her compatriots in the city has to crowd several families in one house and they all have to work several jobs and yet they barely manage the rents of those houses.

Karen Bass Becomes The First Female Mayor Of The LA: Says She Is Concerned About High Numbers OF Homeless People In The City:

She said she shares the concern with her fellow Angelenos of being named to be the most crowded city in the whole country, and thus she called her compatriots to create more housing spaces in each of these neighborhoods.

Karen revealed that she is planning to declare the a state of emergency upon homelessness. She stated that the state of emergency on homelessness will be declared as her first official act as mayor.

Even though the state, city, as well as the county are investing billions on temporary and permanent housing, progress has been slow. According to the most recent count, there was a 1.7% increase in unemployment from the 2020 count.
