Argentina under Messi’s guidance might win the world cup this year. This might finally be the time when Lionel Messi lifts the greatest trophy in a footballer’s career.
Messi has seen his lifelong dream getting thrashed against the German’s in the Latin American soil in 2014. He has also missed out on the chance in 2018 as they went out losing against France in Russia too. However, this time it seems like his lifelong dream to lift the cup will come true, and chances are they will be winning against France.
The start of this World Cup campaign has not been great for Argentina as the lost to Saudi Arabia 2-1. There was a time in the tournament where Argentina were almost going out from the group stage. However, the magician stepped up and they have again been unbeaten in the World Cup since then.
In their semi final match against Croatia Argentina triumphed with a 3-0 win and this is the same Croatia who thrashed Brazil in a nail-biting penalty shootout in the quarters.
Argentina Beat Croatia On Their Way To The Finals:
In the first semi final of the FIFA World Cup 2022, the Albiceleste triumphed over Croatia as the little magician in the Argentine colors scored an early first half penalty and then Alvarez scored another one to make that lead two to the good for them. In the second half, Alvarez completed his brace to give Argentina a 3-0 lead.
Even though Messi is approaching the end of his career and his near superhuman abilities are certainly waning, the small magician can still produce brilliant moments when Argentina needs him the most.
So far at least forty thousand of Argentines have travelled to the middle-eastern country as per the Argentine embassy in Qatar, and they probably are in for a treat now.
