Gavin Newsom

The state of California made the announcement of the vaccination mandate that is to be followed by the schoolchildren. It is to be noted that this is the first state to do so in the United States of America. All students of elementary levels, as well as high schools, will have to get vaccinated once the federal government gives the vaccination approval for the concerned age groups. The government of the state of California has completely given its permission for vaccination for those kids who are 16 years old and more than that.

California’s Governor On Vaccine Mandates

When it comes to the children belonging to the age group of 12 to 15 years old, the government of the state has only granted emergency authorization. Once the regulators of the federal government give their approval for the vaccines for the said age group, California will introduce a new vaccine mandate. And as per the mandate, the students from the 7th to 12th grade, belonging to both private as well as public schools, will have to get vaccinated.

This claim was made in the statement that was given by Gavin Newsom, the governor of the state on the 1st of October that fell on a Friday. The governor of California took to the social media platform, Twitter, in order to talk about the vaccine mandates. He stated that vaccination was the solution for diseases like mumps, measles, and so much more. And the biggest reason behind that was because it was the solution. And it was very important to get vaccinated as it kept the children healthy. Among all the other states in the United States, California is the one state that has the lowest number of coronavirus cases.
