Diego Maradona’s shirt from the 1986 World Cup has been sold for a record-breaking price. The Jersey has been bought by a fan for $9.3million.

However, the name of the fan had not yet been disclosed. This is the highest amount ever paid for a sports collectible. Jersey was initially in the possession of Steve Hodge. 

Steve Hodge was an English player who exchanged the shirt with Diego Maradona after the quarterfinal match. Hodge referred to the shirt as a historic collectible.
