During this year’s 1st six months, a total of 3.2M contributions went into the political committees of Trump. This is according to the claims of the office of Trump. In his statement, the former US president complained that last year’s election was stolen. He cited the huge donations as a signal that the people of America share his outrage and urges him to continue fighting for justice. The fundraising apparatus of Donald Trump includes 2 political committees: a leadership political committee and a Save America political committee. Along with this he also has a separate joint committee and the PAC designed to make the US great again! Most of the cash reserves Trump comes from his Save America PAC.
According to new filings, as of 30th June, the Save America PAC has a total of $90M in cash. He can contribute a sizable chunk of cash to the Republican Party as the party looks to take control of both the Senate and the House in the midterm elections, set to happen next year. Donald Trump has also hinted that he will be running for the office in 2024. If we go by the new numbers, then Donald Trump remains the dominant fundraising politician inside the GOP.
