The number of participants in video or audio calls in Whatsapp will be increased to eight from four by Facebook, revealed the company today.
The beta versions of the App have already come across the new feature.
Earlier, the audio or video calls had end-to-end encryption meaning facebook or WhatsApp can’t access them.
However, the newly launched ‘Messenger room’ doesn’t provide end-to-end encryption. It allows up to 50 people to be connected on a call.
Reportedly, Facebook has not announced a specific launch time for this feature. Meanwhile, when using the feature thorough beta app, it was found that Whatsapp must be updated to its latest version to access this new feature.
