Haley Mary, the lead vocalist of the Indie rock band based in Australia, The Jezabels, gave a performance over the triple j studios’ platform. She chose to perform “Chemtrails Over The Country Club”. It is one of the recently released singles of the popular singing sensation, Lana Del Ray.
Mary gave the performance for the segment, “Like A Version”, of the radio station. The song that she performed, had been released by the 35-year-old singer as her forthcoming record’s title. It was done so in the month of January.
On Lana Del Ray’s Timeless Tracks
The outfit that Haley Mary chose to wear was a jacket-suit in the colour of gold. The entire genre of Chemtrails Over The Country Club was transformed by her band right from the beginning to the end. The track of Lana Del Ray was changed into a “rollicking rock” one, from a slow beat.
This is the first solo performance of Haley Mary. She has used the platform before, however, she was not alone. She came with The Jezabels, her band, twice. the singers performed the songs, “If You Go”, by Sticky Fingers, and “Don’t Stop Believing”.
Haley Mary gave a statement with regard to her choice of Lana Del Ray’s song. She stated her reason for choosing the particular track. She said that she chose Chemtrails Over The Country Club because of the lyrics. She mentioned that she was in love with it.
The singer also spoke of the talent of Lana Del Ray. Haley said that the songs she writes have a deeper meaning to them. She added that the singer has a way of using the past to view the present experiences. Not only that but she is also equipped with a melody and language that can make any track sound classic and timeless.
