Jaret Patterson was on the cusp of making history this Saturday. In any normal year, Saturday would represent history and tradition. in 2020, it was completely different yet uniquely exhilarating.

After winning 70-41 Lance Leopold, Buffalo coach apologized for ripping history out of the grasp of Jaret Patterson, a star trail back who has in his books 36 carries. Missouri was dominant too on Saturday. Trevor Lawrence against, South Carolina after winning over Pitt declared his ending of playing for the Tigers. This Egg Bowl ended without any coach or player acting salacious. This was not a typical weekend of rivalry. People are already missing old rivalries in Saturday college football. There was nothing like the Old Fashioned hatred, Commonwealth Cup, Palmetto Bowl.

The first woman playing in a football Power 5 game, Sarah Fuller placed one squib kick perfectly, delivered a speech at halftime and a strong message to the girls that no dream is beyond their reach.

There were several plays, to sum up, Syracuse football. Syracuse won against NC State. The Spartans were quick to find a spark behind Rocky Lombardi, QB.

Jaret Patterson Shined But Was It The Weekend Everyone Hoped For?

Jaret Patterson after racking 409 yards and doing eight touchdowns scored the FBS record. Had he not been substituted he would have won both records.

But this wasn’t the weekend that one could have been hoping for in the year 2020. But it will make us remember that sometimes in the football season of colleges one can find the best twists in the strangest of places. However, Penn State could have added some salt to Michigan’s wounds. Even down to 22 in 2nd half, Rutgers isn’t a punchline anymore, and that Gus Malzahn likes kicking the field goals.

Anyway, this week will be memorable because it made us realize that there will always be something miraculous about a Saturday college football.
