If This Diego Simeone’s Last Madrid Derby: Is He The Best Coach Ever For The Red Side Of Madrid.

Diego Simeone

Diego Simeone is going to lead the Atleti side out of the dressing room against their arch rivals in the city again this weekend. It is for the 39th time in his career that he is going to coach a side in the Madrid Derby. Actually, the 40th time when you consider the friendly in New York a few years earlier where Atleti scored seven past their rivals.

However, Atleti fans might not be pleased knowing they might not see their team play under Diego Simeone as the coach might leave the club at the end of this season. After losing the Madrid Derby in CDR, Atletico’s season ended a little too soon. After that, Diego said that he will talk with the board in June and decide what will be the best for both parties.

Diego Simeone’s Last Match Against Real Madrid In Madrid Derby?

This probably is not the last goodbye for Diego Simeone from Atleti’s dugout. However, it is a possibility now that he will leave the club.  The end has indeed been predicted before but never materialized; some stories even stated it was over and he had left. After being knocked off, he won his second league championship. Winning one was unimaginable until he arrived. Yet, while reflecting on these eleven! years, there was perhaps just one instance when it appeared likely that the following season would begin without him, and that was unique.

Since taking over Atletico Madrid, Simeone gifted the club many accolades. They get to win the Europa League under Simeone. They won the Copa Del Rey and also won the domestic league. Diego Simeone made Atleti a mighty force in Europe as well as he guided them to two UCL finals.
