Jamie Raskin, the representative from the Democratic Party, gave a statement involving his personal life, with regard to the ongoing process of impeachment of Donald Trump, the president of the United States of America. This is not the first impeachment of the President. Jamie Raskin is the one who is leading the entire impeachment process in the House.
This Sunday, Jamie Raskin gave a message that was a very moving one. Addressing the great loss of his family, he said that he does not wish to lose his nation and the spirit of it being a republic in the year 2021 like he lost his dear son at the end of the year 2020. He, a Democrat who hails from Maryland, confirmed that he would not let it happen.

Jamie Raskin had made the announcement of his son, Tommy who was at the age of 25, just on the eve of New Year. The family mentioned that the late Tommy Raskin had been a victim of severe depression since the age of 20. They also mentioned that the depression did not stop torturing his brain, relentlessly.
The statement from Jamie Ruskin came after the move of the House to initiate the process of impeachment of President Donald Trump. The entire issue originates from the violent riot that broke out in the Capitol building of the United States of America. This took place on the occasion of the affirmation of the 2020 presidential win of Joe Biden, over Donald Trump, by the US Congress. The violence ended up killing five people.
It is President Trump who has been held responsible for everything that took place. He is told to have incited his followers. Everybody came out to condemn the president for this unprecedented, undemocratic act. This was an act, Jamie Ruskin described as a “uniquely dangerous” one.
