Jennifer Coolidge was recently awarded the best performance in the drama series female actor award. The star during her speech appreciated her parents on Sunday at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, 2023, and her speech also had hints of her early inspirations that helped her spark off her vocation path.
The 61-year-old actor says while accepting the award that the year has been a special one for her and this is overwhelming. The nominees for the award were Elizabeth Debicki for her role in The Crown, Laura Linney for Ozark, Zendaya for her outstanding performance in Euphoria, and Julia Garner for her role in Ozark.
Jennifer Coolidge while receiving the award gave a speech about being blessed with amazing parents and provided an anecdote, particularly about her father and his major influence on the choice of her career.

Jennifer Coolidge during her speech mentions that her father once while she was in the first standard unexpectedly released her from the class lying about her being sick. Confused as a little girl she realized later that her father had pretended for a specific need.
Jennifer Coolidge then says that when she got into the vehicle with her father, he explained to her that he would never lie again but that day it was necessary, and promised to take her to some cool place which was the Charlie Chaplin Film Festival.
Jennifer honors that film festival which acted as a catalyst and made her fall into an immense fondness for Hollywood. She further says that it is her love of actors and films which all began in her initial years of life, as early as her first standard.
