When Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen chose not to pursue “Fuller House,” actor John Stamos became “angry.”

The twin actresses, who played Michelle Tanner on the venerable 1990s sitcom “Full House” with the 59-year-old actor, turned down the opportunity to appear in the 2016 spin-off, according to “Female First UK.” He called them, and after co-star, Bob Saget passed away in 2022 at the age of 65 from a blunt head injury, they showed up at his house with a frozen pork chop to make things right.

John Stamos Was Disappointed

The twins relocated to New York, he claimed on the podcast “And That’s What You Missed.” And I’ve had to admit, one of the few positive outcomes of Bob’s [death] Well… Ashley and Mary-Kate weren’t around too much. Bob kept in touch with us more than we did. And they were fantastic.

‘Female First UK‘ cited John Stamos as saying, “You hear rumors, ‘Oh, they hated their childhood, or they hated being on the program, or whatever. They didn’t want to return when I performed “Fuller House.” I also felt angry for a moment. And it was broadcast.

However, they said, “We cherished our childhood. We enjoyed our time with you. We regret it.” They arrived at my home. They delivered sage and a pork chop. I’m not sure why, but thanks. It was especially lovely that it was a frozen pork chop. Thus, we remained quite close, he continued. His death prompted a candid conversation between Stamos and the Olsen sisters regarding the show, and he claimed that Full House co-star Bob Saget had been “very instrumental” in keeping the cast together.
