Johnny Depp has concluded his testament in the libel suit filed by him against Amber Heard, his ex-wife. Depp maintained that he was instead a domestic violence victim in the relationship and said that he was broke and depressed at the time the marriage finally came to an end.

This was Depp’s 4th day on the witness stand in a court in Virginia. The testimony concluded with his attorney releasing a clip of a conversation between Johnny Depp and Heard after she obtained a protective order against Depp in 2016.

Johnny Depp says that he agreed to meet Heard in a hotel room in San Francisco in the belief that she would withdraw the accusation of abuse that she had leveled against him.

In the audio recording, Johnny Depp is heard proposing that they release a joint statement that they still loved one another. Depp said that he was trying to arrive at a peaceful solution to the issue.

Johnny Depp Admits He Is A Victim Of Domestic Violence

Heard, whose only role of note was in Amberman, was against the idea, challenging Depp to publicly admit that he had been abused by his wife. Depp admitted that he had been a victim of violence.

Depp has sued Heard for $50M, while she has countered with a $100M suit, saying the Pirates of the Caribbean star had harmed her reputation by accusing her of lying.

Johnny Depp has testified that Amber Heard would shove and slap him and once flung a bottle at him, slicing off the top of a finger. Her counsel also submitted articles that showed that Depp’s career was already on the slide much before an opinion piece by Heard.

Johnny Depp, once among the top Hollywood stars, has said that he had never struck Amber Heard or any other woman and alleged that her allegations had badly damaged his career.
