Klete Keller’s Apparent Presence Creates A Stir

A social media video is apparently showing Klete Keller to be present amongst the violent rioters at the Capitol building. He is supposedly one of the maskless people wearing a jacket that says Team USA.

Keller has been a part of the swim team of the US in the years 2000 along with 2004 as well as the 2008 Olympics. Additionally, he has also anchored the freestyle of 4×200. During the 2004 Athens Olympics, he was noted to have held off Ian Thorpe, an Australian team member. This had also shown Michael Phelps to win his gold.

ESPN had reached out to one of the spokespersons of the US Swimming. The spokesperson has been unable to give a statement regarding this video that has emerged and has been doing the rounds. The footage had first appeared on SwimSwam, a swimming website.

Many of the former teammates, as well as coaches, have also stated that they did indeed recognize Klete Keller in that video, as reported by the NY Times.

One of the reporters of Townhall Media had shared the concerned video that was shot inside the Rotunda of the Capitol building on the day of the attack. Keller is allegedly seen at about the mark of 12 seconds.
