The victory of the youngest tea player against the Pelicans and his brother turned out to be sweeter when you consider the fact that LaMelo Ball helped his team bounce back from a deficit of 18 points. His assist towards Hayward with only about 4 minutes left to play gave his team Charlotte a cushion of four points. Lonzo’s performance in his 2nd game of his career for the Lakers was amazing and he was so close to becoming the youngest basketball player posting one triple-double along with nine assists,11 rebounds, and 29 points.
LaMelo Ball Seemed Surprisingly Confident On the Matchday
On Friday, the 23 years old Lonzo finished with one steal, one block, two rebounds, three assists, and five points.LaMelo Ball said that it was very cool sharing the floor along with Lonzo, his big brother however he is very happy that his team managed to win the match. He mentioned that LaMelo wasn’t scared of his moment on national TV. After the win, LaMelo said that he was always in the game, he was playing ESPN games from the time he was a little kid, so he was totally normal and not scared or nervous.
James Borrego, Charlotte coach said that LaMelo Ball played easy and free throughout the entire game. After the game, Borrego said that he was so confident playing the game, it was like LaMelo had been in a similar situation giving a similar performance previously. He called LaMelo an amazing and fantastic player and said he is proud of his abilities. He brings so much energy to the team.
