Michale Rubin the Founder of Fanatic, acquired Mitchell & Ness early this year and has now invited LeBron James along with other sports players to join as owners in the newly acquired company.

Mitchell & Ness the company was originally formed by F Mitchell and C Ness, in the year 1904, in Philadelphia. The firm was initially producing uniforms for local baseball teams and football teams. Over the years they gradually started manufacturing jerseys for Philadelphia Eagles the local team. Besides this, they were also manufacturing jerseys for other MLB and NFL Teams.

In the late 1990s and the beginning of the new century, the business of manufacturing jerseys really took off, much of the credit for this could go to Allen Iverson who appeared on the cover of Slam Magazine wearing the 76ers jersey. Something clicked about that cover, the sales straight away zoomed from USD 1.5 M to USD 23 M.

Ever since then the throwback jerseys of M&N became associated with all big brands depicting Luxury. They were seen almost everywhere. The company has been growing from strength to strength.
