If Manchester United Fails To Seal Qualification For The UCL

Erik Ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United, is of the idea that his side would be qualifying for the UCL, and interestingly- Jurgen Klopp is in agreement. With just nine points required from the last four matches- three at Old Trafford itself- the Red Devils should be able to finish in the top four of the Premier League.

But again, there have been situations that should have gone their way and they didn’t- when they lost to relegation battlers West Ham in a match that they should have won. The defeat at the London Stadium has definitely left the manager and the players quite anxious about the end of the season. Liverpool stands just a point behind, although they have already played a game more. Also, Jurgen Klopp’s team has had a straight run of six wins, United, on the other hand, has won just one of the last four games.

Manchester United Will Be Looking At A Top 4 Finish

Liverpool’s manager Jurgen Klopp believes that Manchester United will be able to secure a place in the Champions League, but after his team’s 1-0 win over Brentford on Saturday, he went on to describe this race as quite interesting. Ten Hag is already missing quite a few key players and has looked quite sluggish on the field after a grueling season. They are hobbling towards the finish line, and there is apprehension amongst the die-hard fans of the team that the players have lost all of their momentum and energy at the last minute.

Qualification for the Champions League is definitely important for the coffers at Old Trafford, but it will also determine how the first season of Manchester United’s Dutch manager has turned out to be. A top-four finish coupled with the Carabao Cup and the FA Cup final could make the season a success- considering how much of a mess the team was at the beginning of the season.
