Vinicius Jr’s Rainbow Flick Vs Kyle Walker’s Defense- Battle Of The Titans

The first leg of the UCL Semifinal clash between Real Madrid and Manchester City did provide several beautiful moments- especially between Vinicius Jr and Kyle Walker- in a classic battle between wingers and fullbacks. In the first leg, Real Madrid and Manchester City held each other to a 1-1 draw, whereas Inter Milan clobbered AC Milan in the other Semifinal, which was also the Derby della Madonnina.

All in all, it was a good week for Champions League football. Both of the games provided goals, action, and moments, but didn’t have controversy marring it. Yet, no one can deny that the highlight of the week was Vini’s attempted rainbow flick over Kyle Walker. While he was not entirely successful with the attempt, it did show his talent to go toe-to-toe against one of the best defenders in the world.

Vinicius Jr Is Another Flamboyant Brazilian Lighting Spain Up

It must be the understatement of the century to think that Santiago Bernabeu is a stadium where the fans are accepting of their team’s performance. In reality, the die-hard fans of Real Madrid expect nothing but the best from Los Blancos. To be fair, they have a right to demand that- considering Madrid is basically footballing royalty. Therefore, it takes a lot to make the crowd gasp- either in admiration, shock, or horror.

There were several Real Madrid players in the past who managed to do that- Cristiano Ronaldo at the helm of that list- but Vinicius Jr has allocated his name as well. The Brazilian winger has been going through quite a breakout season and was the scorer from Real Madrid against Pep’s team. But as it turns out, it wasn’t his beautiful goal that made the crowd gasp audibly. Rather, it was his audacious attempt at the Rainbow Flick over Kyle Walker.

Anyone watching Real Madrid play would know that they excel at crunch situations. They know when to play seriously- which is why they have won 13 times. But Vinicius Jr has the Joga Bonito flavor in him. And the Semifinal was the best place, he decided, for him to showcase that skill.
