According to reports, Manchester United has decided on a David de Gea replacement. The Red Devils have chosen Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak to replace David de Gea as their starting goalkeeper, according to the Manchester Evening News, quoting French publication Jeunes Footeux. To entice him to Old Trafford, the club may be willing to spend as much as £15.6 million each season.
The newspaper also claims, via Calciomercato, that Manchester City will compete with Chelsea for AC Milan winger Rafael Leao. The 23-year-old, who was instrumental in Milan’s drive to the Serie A championship last season, is highly sought after by both parties.
According to the Newcastle Chronicle, Chris Rigg, a star on the Sunderland youth team, is being watched by Newcastle.
Manchester United: Ten Hag Might Change His Plans For Ronaldo
The 15-year-old may be available for the Magpies to sign because he has not yet committed to Sunderland on a professional level. Just weeks after Erik ten Hag’s proposal to give the Portuguese superstar a smaller role surfaced, Cristiano Ronaldo may be pushed back into the mainstream of Manchester United’s plans.
Since his return to Old Trafford last summer, Ronaldo swiftly cemented himself as the club’s icon. However, his second stay at United has soured in the wake of last year’s disastrous Premier League campaign. Ronaldo attempted to arrange an early exit this summer after United’s failure to make the Champions League, but the trade fell through. And the 37-year-old, who missed United’s preseason trip to Thailand and Australia, has found himself on the sideline in the first few weeks of the season.
