There has been a new addition to the list of controversial hip hop rappers. It is Meek Mill, the American rapper. The addition took place last week. He involved himself in an altercation with another fellow rapper Tekashi 69. The incident took place in a parking lot.
Meek Mill’s New Track
Both the rappers used the platform of social media to post the video of the incident. It was done so after the claim of Meek Mill according to which 69 was the one who started the altercation. He said that it took place when he was making an exit from one of the events.
This was followed by another incident that got the Philadelphia based rapper to attack Wack 100, the American manager of the rappers, The Game and Blueface. It took place following the Instagram post of Wack 100. He posted a video that said something derogatory of Meek Mill. The manager used the words, “the rat attacked the cat” referring to the rapper. This gave way to beef that took place over the social media platform, Instagram.
This week too proved to be nothing less of controversy for the rapper. Meek Mill is facing backlash for his new unreleased bar. The artist has collaborated with fellow American rapper, Lil Baby. The reason for the backlash is because of the fact that he has made the mention of Kobe Bryant, the late basketball player, in his track.
The rapper has used the word, “chopper”, referring to the deadly accident that took away the basketball player. The said incident took place in the month of January. The accident also ended up killing the player’s daughter and seven other people.
The clip that went viral has been taken down by authorities. Not only that but the account responsible for posting it too has been suspended.
