The video then went on to a voiceover, where Megan Thee Stallion was heard remembering her early days- where she was just a young girl from the state of Houston who was looking for some meaning and guidelines in her life. It was accompanied by the visual imagery of people sizing her up, and deciding if she posed a challenge to them or not. One individual claimed that the singer was too tall- 5ft 10- and she would be better suited to playing basketball.
A few other individuals commented on Megan Thee Stallion- stating that she would be better suited to playing either volleyball or running track. Stallion replied that she had tried them all but they weren’t for her. She continued by stating that she knew she had to look for her passion- as it would make her happy.
Then she felt the whistle of a standard gym coach who stated that they wouldn’t call her an athlete. This led to the singer responding ‘Oh really?’, after which the screen faded to her crushing the individual and bursting into a dance routine.
Megan Thee Stallion further elaborated that it was never easy to run through dance rehearsals that would be for 12 hours, after which she would have to train around five days a week. This would all culminate in a performance before 50,000 people- where she would be squatting half of the time.
