Miley Cyrus, aged 29, had a wardrobe malfunction on NYE. Miley’s NYE Party, an NBC NYE special, had Miley performing for a large crowd celebrating the beginning of a new year. While performing her top came off. She improvised and continued performing while changing her outfit.
Miley Cyrus Expertly Dealt With The Issue
The wardrobe malfunction occurred after Miley Cyrus had performed “We Cannot Stop” and eased into her mega-hit “A Party in the USA.”
Miley was walking on the stage and holding her top while performing her song. She then went backstage to change. Her backup band and singers kept singing.
Miley returned during the first chorus of the song. She wore a crimson blazer that she had worn before in the show. She changed a few lyrics, including one saying that everybody was looking at her. She added between lyrics that she had more clothes on than she ever puts on while performing.
Miley concluded the NYE special with a short speech. She started by thanking her audience. Miley explained that the night was about creating the best of the worst. With a New Year, she urged everyone to bring in resilience. Expecting the unexpected should be seen as a chance and not a problem. She wished everyone a prosperous 2022 and thanked them for making it the best party.
NYE special was live-streamed to Peacock and NBC. It was hosted and shot in Miami. Miley informed that everyone in the audience was vaccinated. The crowd had a blast.
Miley’s NYE party was created by Lorne Michaels, SNL’s executive producer. Pete Davidson was Miley’s co-host. TV creator Lindsay Shookus and Miley Cyrus joined on as producers.
New Year’s Eve Special marked the first year Carson Daly did not host NBC’s NYE’s news since 2004.
