Mitch McConnell, the minority leader of the US Senate, provided a total of two options in order to solve the problem with regard to the debt limit of the United States of America. The Republican politician hailing from the state of Kentucky provided the options in order to prevent the deadlock that lies within the Democratic and the Republican Party of the country concerning the said subject.

The solutions provided by Mitch McConnell were presented on the 6th of October that fell on Wednesday. This move marks a transition from the bipartisan deadlock that remained for a very long time. There is now a potential for the parties to come together and work toward solving the current problem. However, it is to be noted that it is unclear if the two solutions provided by the Republican politician, Mitch McConnell, will be enough to bring an end to the ongoing disagreements.
Dick Durbin, the senator, gave a statement on the subject. It was claimed that case if the lawmakers of the Democratic Party are made to use the process of budget reconciliation in the future, this would not mean anything at all. He stated that it would still be an “unacceptable” situation. And the lawmakers of the Republican party have told the Democratic lawmakers to do the same.
Mitch McConnell gave a clear explanation of what the Republican Party stands for with regard to the subject. He mentioned that the Republican lawmakers are already looking forward to reaching a reconciliation with the Democrats. However, this is not something that is acceptable to the Democrats as stated by them earlier. They have claimed that the option presented to them by the opposition is extremely time-consuming in nature.
