Nikki Haley is the former United Nations Ambassador of the United States of America. On Monday she has stated that she will not be running for the White House bid in 2024 in case Donald Trump, former US President decides to mount the bid once again.
It has come as quite a surprise that Nikki Haley has completely taken a U-turn from her previous stance and given a pro-Trump statement during the press conference of the Associated Press.
Flip-Flopped Statement By Nikki Haley
Nikki Haley is the former governor of South Carolina and is currently being considered as the potential contender for the 2021 GOP Presidential nomination. On the other hand, she informed the press that she intends to support Trump if he wants to run for another White House election.
Nonetheless, she has accepted the fact that has not spoken to the former President for quite some time. The last time the two spoke was before the Capitol riots on 6th January 2021. Despite this communication gap, she confirmed that she has a good working relationship with Trump.
Nikki Haley further commented on the excellent job done by Trump in relation to foreign policies and keeping the nation together during turbulent times.
However, there is an undeniable tension between the two since Haley had made a scathing assessment of Trump following the 6th January event. She had even said that he will not be running for the federal office again.
Surprisingly just after 3 months, she has flip-flopped from her statement and given rise to the rumors of Trump making a comeback with the Presidential campaign in 2024.
Haley’s recent remark has indeed paved the way for Trump back into the Republican party.
