The platform has announced to scrap its decision of porn ban. This was announced last Wednesday by a spokesperson. Just a week prior, the application announced having updated guidelines. The new guidelines announced banned the use of pornographic content.
The platform consists of pornstars and adult creators. The pandemic has taken a toll on every individual’s earnings. Life has been tough post the covid restrictions. This online application was a boon to the creators. They had the opportunity to sell their content in exchange for money. This enabled the creators to make a living for themselves. Scraping off pornography meant a significant loss to the adult creators. The authorities were heavily criticized. The decision of updated guidelines was not received well.
OnlyFans stated that it has heard all its fans. They understood the requirements of their users. Hence, they decided to lift the ban on pornographic content. Authorities stated that it became very difficult to find investors for the platform. The presence of nudity and porn content seemed to repel the investors.
