Pres. Trump to Kemp: ‘I disagree strongly’ with some reopening decisions

In a news conference Wednesday, President Trump stated that he did not approve of Gov. Kemp’s decision to open up Georgia. He also said that the governor’s move was in violation of the federal government’s Phase 1 guidelines.

Kemp drew criticism after he decided to open up non-essential businesses in his state.

He said, “I am confident that business owners who decide to reopen will adhere to Minimum Basic Operations, which prioritize the health and well-being of employees and customers.”

Trump added that even though he did not agree with Kemp, he still respected him and said that the governor was free to do what he thinks is right.
