Do You Qualify For Another Stimulus Check Payment This Year?

Economic support continues for US citizens as the pandemic is still to loosen its hold. You could qualify for another stimulus check-in 2022 if you meet the criteria. The funds are not directly from the federal government but support from particular states.

Many citizens continue to demand a 4th stimulus check with both Congressmen and common folk contending that the pandemic continues to have a vice-like grip on American citizens, especially the low-income earning groups.

But a direct stimulus check from the federal administration is unlikely at this stage. But there is hope as there is similar support that is coming in from the states, at times from federal funds.

A Fresh $1,400 Stimulus Check Could Be You If You Meet The Required Eligibility

The pandemic has triggered a fresh round of inflation that has created a crisis in the cost of living index. The inflation rate has spiked past the 7.5% mark this January. It is the biggest rise since 1982. But there is hope as the median inflation expectations for the year ahead have slid to 5.8%, the first-ever fall since Oct. 2020.

Many citizens are eligible for a $1,400 stimulus check if they welcomed a child into their home in 2021. Families who have declared a fresh dependent are also eligible for another $1,400 stimulus check per dependent.

The dependent must not be claimed by another tax filer to avail of the assistance. The baby can be either a biological child or an adopted one. The child should be declared as part of the 2021 tax return to be filed in 2022.

Dependents can include parents, a foster child, or a grandchild. Individuals facing a drop in earnings from above $80,000 in 2020 to below $80,000 in 2021 will be eligible for the payment.

These economic measures fall under the American Rescue Plan signed into law by President Biden in March 2021.
