The founders of La Mariette, Morgan Brutocao, and Theresa Mingus, had approached the 28-year-old pop-star in the month of June. They officialized the collaboration on the 3rd. Together they were to design six styles of swimsuits. Selena Gomez gave a statement on her new project. She stated that her entire journey in designing the swimsuits was full of fun moments. And this was because both her co-partners, the La Mariette founders, loved being outdoors. The “Lose You To Love Me” hitmaker further stated that she wanted to try something new. Something that does not fall within her comfort zone. And that led her to try different things while designing the swimsuits.
Selena Gomez also revealed her favorite color for the swimsuits that she designed. She stated that it was purple. The artist found out this fact after she went through a couple of swatches. She claimed that she tried to keep herself away from her regular colors that were white and red. And so she went for those shades that were fresh for her. Selena Gomez played with neons, green, and purple.
She also claimed that the customers can wear the swimsuits the way they like. The collection will be made available online on the 3rd of July on the official site of La Mariette. There are so many kinds of swimwear for the fans to choose from they include halter tops that are to be wrapped, bralette tops, tie-backs, triangle tips, and many more. The entire clothing is in a tie-dye print called “Aura.” The sizes available for the swimsuits range from EX to XXL. The price range starts from 49 USD to 119 USD.
