Garret Miller was sentenced to over 3 years in prison for his role in the Capitol riots on January 6, 2021. The Texan tweeted that Ocasio-Cortez should be arrested and also bragged about being part of the insurrection.

The 36-year-old Garret Miller was among numerous rioters who methodically documented their day-long shenanigans and posted it in a burst of posts on social media.  He posted pictures after he broke into the US Capitol. He even bragged to friends that he wanted to get himself ‘incriminated’ a little, as was revealed by court documents filed by the prosecution.

Garret Miller also sported a shirt incriminating himself and which advertised that he was present in Washington on the fateful day two years ago. The shirt also sported an image of Trump as police officers arrived at his home in Dallas to detail him 2 weeks after the riots.

Garret Miller has been behind bars for more than 2 years since he was arrested in January 2021. He is expected to remain for another 8 months and with credit for good behavior, he should be out by then, his lawyer Clinton Broden said.

Garret Miller Tweeted ‘assassinate AOC’

He led a charge on January 6, 2021, even as the rioters dismantled several layers of barriers and led the assault on the Capitol from the eastern front. He was detained briefly but officers had to let him go the law enforcement officers at the scene were overwhelmed at the ferocity and size of the assault which was instigated by Trump himself and his team at the White House.

Instead of leaving after being freed, he renewed the assault on the Capitol and physically assaulted several officers while ignoring their commands to exit the premises. Miller also tweeted the words ‘Assassinate AOC‘ and later bragged to friends for terrifying the Congressmen present at the Capitol on January 6.
