At the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes on Saturday, Sofia Richie and Elliot Grainge exchanged vows in what some have already nicknamed the “royal wedding” of this year.
For the frantic wedding weekend that went viral on TikTok and Instagram, celebrities including Benji Madden, Cameron Diaz, Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie, and Joel Madden gathered at the renowned hotel in the South of France.
The 24-year-old model and designer, who is also Lionel Richie’s youngest child, got engaged to music industry entrepreneur and 10K Projects founder Elliot Grainge in April 2022.

After a year of dating, Elliot proposed to Sofia Richie in Hawaii. “Elliot surprised me with a trip to Europe with all of our best friends in April 2022,” Sofia recalls. “He proposed at the peak of the golden hour—it was magical.” “Forever isn’t long enough,” she captioned the day’s Instagram post.
A few weeks before the wedding, and before revealing her new surname on TikTok, the bride traveled to the Chanel haute couture salons in Paris for her last dress fittings, accompanied by her mother-in-law, Lady Caroline Grainge, and her closest friend, Ali Meller.
Working with Chanel was Sofia Richie’s “true dream” in addition to being an honor. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience to have the chance to design this garment, collaborate directly with Madame Olivia Douchez, the premier of haute couture salons, and see their art and impeccable attention to detail.
Chanel designed a trio of gowns for the three main wedding-weekend events: the ceremony; the after-party; and the rehearsal dinner, which was held on Friday night at a private estate. It has always been Sofia’s ambition to have Chanel create her wedding gown.
