The stimulus check came in three installments. The last of the installments were being rolled out recently by the IRS. The $1400 check seems to be the last check planned by the federal government. However, some states have decided to provide a selected section of workers with money.
The check is designed as a token of thanks to the people who risked their lives and worked amidst the pandemic. Georgia has announced a $1000 stimulus check for all their education workers. California and Florida have also confirmed the $1000 check for their teachers.
However, even though these checks are available, people will not get them on Juneteenth. This is simply because the day is marked as a federal holiday in the American calendar. All the postal services remain closed on this day. Thus, anyone expecting a stimulus check on Juneteenth will have to wait till the 21st.
