It has been reported that the citizens of New Mexico will be receiving their newest round of stimulus check payments as early as the next week.

This would form a part of the effort of the state to offset a large part of the impact of rising prices in the country. Michelle Lujan Grisham, the Governor of the state, along with the state legislature went ahead and approved the rounds of economic relief and rebates for this year- as mentioned under the New Mexico Taxation and Revenue Department. The residents of the state have already received their earlier payments in the months of May and June, but it is clear that this round will be much different from those that came before.

Stimulus Check Payment Coming In For Citizens of New Mexico

With the rate of inflation reaching a 40-year high in May, a lot of pressure has been put on President Joe Biden. Other legislators and state leaders have also started taking action that would help in offsetting the rising costs. A large section of the American population has actually been hit pretty hard in the wallet when they had to pay for food, gas, or travel.

The information page of the New Mexico tax department repeatedly specifies that married couples that will file for joint returns, heads of household, and surviving spouses will be receiving a stimulus check rebate of $500 in July, but they must also have their annual income below $150,000. Single filers and married individuals who would rather file individually will be receiving $250- but their annual income has to be below $75,000.

The department further explained on their page that New Mexicans who have already filed their income taxes for 2021 or who would be doing so by May 31, 2023- will not have to take any action to receive their stimulus check rebates.
