Multiple deadlines are coming in along with opportunities to claim direct stimulus check payments in quite a few states.
This week would be the last one for the residents in the states of Massachusetts and Illinois to file, as well as receive tax rebates which could have been worth around $1,300. The residents in Illinois would have to be extra careful when they end up submitting their tax rebate returns if they were provided with an extension to receive the cash from the rebate. Both of the rebate deadlines have been sent for the next week, which means it would be prudent for one to start acting swiftly.
Stimulus Check Payments Coming In Illinois and Massachusetts
As it was previously explained, the residents of Illinois could be in line to qualify for the stimulus check tax rebates of around $700, which would be issued in September. However, they would need to file for the tax return of last year by the 17th of October to finally receive any form of direct payment at all.
The rebate checks are currently a part of the state budget law. In the government’s bid to fight the rise in inflation, millions of dollars are being currently set aside for those who had filed their taxes for 2021 in the state. Although the maximum an individual would be able to earn through this tax rebate is $700, it would all be dependent on the income of the individual and the number of dependents they have.
In the state of Massachusetts, millions of residents would be able to thank the new state law for stimulus check rebates which would be coming their way with a worth of around $2.9 billion. For the year ending on the 30th of June, 2022, the state also had a net tax revenue of around $42 billion, while the law of the state does cap the tax revenue of $38.87 billion.
