The Open In Britain Sees Oosthuizen In Lead, Speith Continues His Splendid Form To Chase The Top Spot

In what seemed to be a great event, golf fans were treated to a great competition in Britain. The opening part of the event did not seem to draw much of an interest. However, as the game progressed, the event got more and more interesting. Speith & Oosthuizen reigned supreme among the other golfers. They finished at the top 2 after the initial round. Though Louis is currently enjoying the number one spot, Speith is closing in real fast.

The performance of Jordan Speith was one of the main talking points of the event. Spieth had his major break almost about 4 years ago. He won the Birkdale Royale to establish himself as a reputed golfer. Since then, the performance graph of Jordan experienced a low. However, he seems to have got back his lost touch recently. He won several tournaments in the past 4 months. His performance at The Open was also remarkable.

All in all, The Open has stood up to its expectations. It has been phenomenal in terms of golf quality. A total of 47 players failed to achieve par. However, 4 of the golfers are just a couple of strokes away from achieving it. This scenario keeps the tournament open for everyone. Anybody can pile up scores to advance further. Friday will be an important day where we could get a glimpse of who the potential winner could be.
