Justin Timberlake made an apology to Britney Spears. This comes following a documentary on the real-life incidents of the pop star, “Framing Britney Spears”. Post the release of the documentary, there was a wave of criticism with regard to the fact that he treated her very wrong. This was back when the two of them were in a relationship.

In the documentary, there are snippets of videos that show him being disrespectful towards Britney Spears. He is seen discussing the sexual relationship that they shared when they were in a relationship.

Britney Spears Was Disrespected

Justin Timberlake took to the social media platform, Instagram, to make an apology to the singer. The statement that he gave, said that he wanted to “take accountability” for whatever damage he caused to the life of the pop-star. The two of them were together for a total of three years. That took place in the year 1999 to 2002.

Britney Spears is not the only one who was apologized to, Timberlake also extended his apology to another pop-star, Janet Jackson. This was following the incident when the singer did not show any support to Jackson during her performance in the Superbowl which was a controversial one.

The statement issued by Timberlake with regard to Britney Spears read that he is “deeply sorry” for whatever problems he caused in the life of the pop-star. Referring to the hashtags and comments that are trending, he added that he was sorry for the times when he failed to be vocal about certain incidents of racism and misogyny. The singer went on to address that he wanted to “specifically” thank both Janet Jackson and Britney Spears for the fact that he failed to know respect to both of them in the past.
