The Houston fire chief stated that Travis Scott should have halted the show. Drake was also performing at the festival and is speaking out about the incidents and so are the Kardashians. They have publicly offered support to Travis Scott.

The fire chief, Samuel Pena has stated that they are trying to get some pictures of the major cause of this incident. The Astroworld Festival saw 8 people dead and more than 300 injured.

How The Travis Scott Festival Turned Into A Nightmare

The incident started at around 9 pm when Travis Scott was performing on the stage. The fans kept pushing towards the stage and around 9:38 pm it was deemed as a mass-casualty event.

Travis Scott stated that he was unaware of what was going on, in the crowd of 50k even though there was an ambulance in the middle of the crowd.  He kept performing till 10:15 pm.

Pena was asked if Travis Scott should have stopped the show, to which he replied “absolutely”.

While Scott has a history of riling up his crowds — for which he faced criminal charges — Peña said no evidence has been collected so far suggesting he initiated this.

He added that he was not prepared to say that he was fully aware of what was going on.

The Houston Police Department is leading the criminal investigation, but nobody has been charged. The FBI is now involved as well.

Kylie’s sisters Kim Kardashian and Kendall Jenner posted supportive messages to Scott and said they are praying for the victims. Kim’s message has also been shared by Kris Jenner and Khloé Kardashian.
