A hotel that was situated in Atlantic City, New Jersey, got demolished. This incident took place this Wednesday. The former president of the United States of America, Donald Trump, had once been an owner of the hotel-cum-casino. It was once known as the Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino.

The Trump Plaza implosion was such that by 9 in the morning, all that could be seen was smoke and rubble. The building had not been in use since the year 2014. The plaza had reached a worse level of deterioration. Once it had been one of the boardwalk staples. However, parts of it started to fall off over the recent years.

Trump Plaza Used To Be The Celebs’ Epicenter

The former events manager of the hotel, Bernie Dillon, gave a statement post the implosion of the Trump Plaza. He said that the place was an epicenter for the celebrities in the whole of the Atlantic City of New Jersey.

He also made the mention of the famous personalities who used to visit the place. They include Warren Beatty, Jack Nicholson, Keith Richards, Hulk Hogan, and Mick Jagger, Oprah, Sean Penn, Mahammad Ali, Don Johnson, Madonna, and Barbra Streisand. The former events manager expressed his sorrow for the misfortune that took place.

According to a source, the reason why Donald Trump cut ties with Trump Plaza was because of some bankruptcy filings. This took place in the year 2009. However, he was still associated with the hotel. In fact, the place remained to be famous due to Trump’s name.

It was only in the year 2016 that Trump Plaza got acquired by Carl C. Icahn, a billionaire investor. It is also to be noted that the demolition of the building took place within a month of the swearing-in of Joe Biden as America’s president.
