Ukraine President Zelenskyy Said FIFA Blocked Their Peace Message

Ukraine President Zelenskyy has said that despite FIFA’s attempts to block their peace offering the world will still hear his call.

According to Zelenskyy, the Ukrainian president, despite his pleads to allow him to broadcast a message for peace in the final of the FIFA World Cup, and his cry to a conference of peace to resolve the issue of Russia constantly waging war against them, FIFA did not allow the broadcast.

According the the president of Ukraine, despite FIFA’s attempts to block the message from getting broadcasted in the final at the Lusail Stadium in Doha, the world has heard what he had to say. Zelenskyy in his video to his compatriots has said that the soccer World cup is all about a subtle essence of winning. The president also added that their competition in the final is just on a football pitch, and not on a battleground. Talking about the possibility of Russia’ nuclear strikes, he said that on the football field the worst they can face is a Red Card, not a Red button.

Zelenskyy Says FIFA Blocked His Peace Message:

According to the reports of CNN last Friday, FIFA did not allow the Ukrainian president to share his message for peace prior to the final.

A short video message from the office of the Ukrainian president seen the president claiming that he had offered a formula of peace that would have resolved the issue of war. Zelenskyy said that unlike on the football field, there no-one can ever win or draws in a war.

The Russian invasion in the Ukraine since February has killed many civilians, so far and many of the Ukrainians are without a home.

Zelenskyy said that he wanted to conduct a peace summit inviting all the countries of the world to find an amicable solution.
