Myanmar Military And The Police Continue To Rule Over The Country Through Violence

The police force in Myanmar continues to be violent towards those who are protesting in a peaceful manner. It has been more than 30 days that the military took over the country by attacking all the leaders who were elected in a democratic manner. The total death toll does not seem to stop. The forces assassinated a local officer of Myanmar who belonged to the political party of the democratic leader.

Myanmar’s Local Leader Assassinated

A well-known news channel revealed details about the assassination that took place. They revealed that the family of U Khin Maung Latt, the leader who got assassinated, received his body by the police this Sunday.

U Khin Maung Latt had actively participated in the campaign of the National League for Democracy, the political party of Aung San Suu Kyi, the well-known democratic leader of Myanmar. He did so in the elections that took place recently. The leader had been separated from his family. The police took him from his home using violence this Saturday.

As per the statement of the police, the reason for the death of Maung Latt was that he fainted. However, the witnesses have something else to say. According to them, the police got physically violent with him. They said that he beat him. The leader has always been an activist of democracy. His burial took place this Sunday.

The military in Myanmar continues to use aggressive tactics against the protestors. In order to bring peace and order to the country, they continue to arrest the protestors in bulk. According to the reports, both the military and the police were successful in preventing a protest, a sit-in one that was held this Monday. They did this by chasing them. The fire arrested over 70 protestors following the chase.
