White House Message on Ramadan, 2020

After the confirmation of the starting day for Ramadan 2020, The White House has shared a message for all Muslims sending them sent congratulatory wishes for their holy month.

The message started with wishing all Muslims in the US and the world to be blessed in their Holy Month.

“I wish all Muslims, both in the United States and across the world, a blessed and peaceful Ramadan.” The White House stated.

Moreover, the message continued by praising the Islamic faith by stating that it promotes “peace, kindness, and love, and respect” for everyone.

“For millions around the globe, this holy month is an opportunity to renew and strengthen their faith through rigorous fasting, devout prayer, reflective meditation, reading the Quran, and charitable deeds.  These acts are closely aligned with the universal values that the Islamic faith promotes—peace, kindness, and love, and respect for others.”

Then, the message addressed the crisis that the world is going through and asked all Muslims for prayers in the “challenging times.” So, Ramadan is a great time to pray for the world.

“Over the past months, we have seen how important the power of prayer can be during challenging times,” The White House added. “Today, as the holy month of Ramadan commences, I pray that those who are observing this sacred time find comfort and reassurance in their faith.”

And the message ended with the Arabic sentence for ‘Have a blessed Ramadan’ “Ramadan Mubarak”
