Zendaya has been staring into her latest movie Challengers whose steamy trailer has just been out and has reached an ace with her fans. The filmstar recently on Tuesday shared on Instagram the first glimpse at the movie and the clip has bagged more than a million likes already.
Zendaya who last started in Euphoria, in Challengers has been playing the role of a tennis prodigy named Tashi Duncan who is a self-rising star, and her eyes are fixed on a couple of players who apparently are best friends. The first glimpse of the trailer has given away sights of a threesome among the characters of the movie as teens right before flashing to the present with an injured Duncan who had wedded one of the friends and was still ogling the other one.
Mike Faist starred in other movies and Josh O’Connor who starred earlier in The Crown is the co-actors alongside Zendaya with Luca Guadagnino as the director.
Plot Of Challengers Starring Zendaya
The story of the film begins with Zendaya as Duncan organizes a rough reunion consisting of herself, Art (Faist) her husband, and Patrick (O’Connor) who is the old flame. Art has been forced to join the tennis tournament Challengers after Duncan forces him which only makes him realize that he would be playing against Patrick- who is a former rival and also his best friend.
The description in the official teaser by Warner Bros. describes Duncan as someone who is an ex-tennis prodigy and now turned into a coach. Duncan is someone like that force of nature who never apologizes for her play either on or off the field.
Challengers will be up in the theaters on 15th September. As told the previous year by Guadagnino, who is the director, the tennis skills of Zendaya in the film are not all CGI.
