Anthony Fauci, the American physician-scientist, gave a statement, concerning the vaccines that are put to use in the country. The statement was given on Sunday. He mentioned the authorization received by a new vaccine by Johnson and Johnson.
The doctor added that with the new addition, the country is now a little safer from the coronavirus pandemic. Anthony Fauci also requested the citizens of the United States of America to take any vaccine that is at their reach. This is to be done, once they are eligible to take it.
Anthony Fauci On What’s More Important
Anthony Fauci, who is also the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease Director, attended an interview where he shed light on vaccines. He stated that all approved vaccines, Johnson and Johnson, Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna, were equally effective. All of them had the capacity to provide an effective shield from the diseases that were related to Covid. Anthony Fauci himself received the vaccine in the year 2020. He did so in order to instil confidence in people for receiving the vaccine.
The doctor stated that people should opt for whatever is within their reach. The company of the vaccine did not matter. He went on to say that what mattered the most is the fact that people get vaccinated. Anthony Fauci claimed that he would take whatever vaccine was available to him as soon as possible.
Johnson and Johnson got the authorization for its vaccine from the Food and Drug Administration this Saturday. It was approved for emergency use. The decision was given 24 hours after the advisory panel gave their recommendation. The difference in the newly approved vaccine lies in the fact that it is a single shot one. All of the others are needed to be given in a total of two doses with a week’s gap.
