BET Awards 2021 was held on the 27th of June that fell on Sunday. It was a live show. So many exciting artists took home the awards. The theme of the award ceremony was dedicated to the community of the Black. It was “Year of the Black Women.” The show was hosted by Taraji P. Henson, the popular American actress. In the year 2020, it was the BET Awards that primarily took place despite the onset of the coronavirus pandemic.

The show was carried out virtually. And this year, the ceremony was carried out in the format of the live show and was open to those in the audience who had vaccinated themselves. There was also a red carpet at the BET Awards 2021.

The proactive organizers of the award ceremony took the initiative of contributing towards taking the coronavirus pandemic in the country. they stated that they would help Los Angeles County in order to promote the vaccination efforts. They also made sure that they adhered to the required protocols related to the coronavirus pandemic. Taraji P Henson expressed her happiness and excitement to be standing in front of the audience at the BET Awards 2021. She stated that she was absolutely excited to stand in the midst of fellow humans. She also stated that people need each other.

Not all of the audience of the award show could be seen wearing masks. There were many who were without it. The celebrities who attended the show included Zendaya who had a purple mask on, Issa Rae, the American actress, Jazmine Sullivan, the American singer and songwriter, and Maxine Waters, the Representative. Queen Latifa, the American rapper, received the “Lifetime Achievement Award” at the BET Awards 2021. Cardi B, the “UP” artist used the platform to reveal her pregnancy to the world. The father of her upcoming baby is Offset the rapper.
