Bidens’ 2023 Tax Return Revealed

Tax Returns

President Joe Biden and First Lady Dr. Jill Biden disclosed their 2023 joint tax return, revealing an income of $619,976, as reported by the White House on Monday, coinciding with the national tax filing deadline.

In adherence to the longstanding tradition of transparency in the Oval Office, the Bidens’ financial disclosure contrasts with the approach of former President Donald Trump, who refrained from voluntary tax return releases during his tenure. Notably, the Biden administration emphasized this contrast, highlighting their commitment to openness with the American public.

The bulk of the Bidens’ income stems from President Biden’s $400,000 salary, supplemented by pensions, while the First Lady earned $85,985 from her teaching role at Northern Virginia Community College.

Their federal income tax totaled $146,629, reflecting a tax rate of 23.7%. Additionally, the Bidens allocated $20,477 to various charitable organizations, including the Beau Biden Foundation, which focuses on safeguarding children from abuse.

Vice President Kamala Harris and Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff reported an income of $450,299, with a federal income tax payment of $88,570 and charitable contributions amounting to $23,026.

This disclosure marks the 26th year of tax returns released by the Bidens and the 20th year for Vice President Harris. Their 2023 income demonstrates an increase from previous years, signaling a continuation of the administration’s commitment to transparency established since taking office in 2021.
