To focus on her ongoing treatment for a rare neurological disease, singer Celine Dion canceled her tour dates for 2023 and 2024.

“I’m very sorry. It’s unfair to you to keep canceling the events, and even if it pains me to do so, we must do so right away until I’m truly prepared to return to the stage. I’m eager to see you once more.

Dion had stated in an emotional video uploaded for followers in December 2022 that she had been confirmed to have Stiff Person Syndrome. Her Courage World World Tour’s European leg has to be delayed until August 2023. She commented at the time, “It kills me to tell you I won’t be ready to begin my tour in Europe in February.

The singer, well known for her cover of the song My Heart Will Go On from James Cameron’s 1997 historical epic Titanic, most recently appeared in James C. Strouse’s romantic comedy-drama Love Again with Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Sam Heughan.

Singer Celine Dion has postponed her “Courage World Tour” dates through 2024 due to problems from stiff person syndrome, an uncommon neurological ailment characterized by spasms and muscle rigidity, the celebrity announced on Friday. Dion delayed a number of her performances in December after discovering the cause of her musculoskeletal pain and mobility issues. At the time, Dion stated, “While we’re still studying about this uncommon ailment, we now know this is what’s been causing all of the spasms that I’ve been suffering.

I’m very sorry for deceiving all of you once again, Dion is quoted as saying in the Instagram post announcing the tour’s cancellation. So I’m working extremely hard to regain my strength.”
