Chris Pratt Reacts Over Criticisms Of “Super Mario Bros. Movie”

Chris Pratt, the voice actor who plays Nintendo’s adored character said in a recent statement that before criticizing the movie, one has to see it twice at least. For everyone upset with him missing out on doing a proper Italian accent in their forthcoming Super Mario Bros. Movie, Chris Pratt has something to say. 

In one of his recent interviews, the 43-year-old actor who plays the voice actor of the titular role of the movie urged followers of the series to watch the movie first before criticizing his work for it. 

Chris Pratt Urges People To Watch The Movie Twice 

Adding on the topic, Chris Pratt further added that he thinks that people might need to see the movie twice before actually understanding the work he has put behind it. Chris Pratt’s comments may have come after a few members of the audience had complaints regarding him being cast in the role of Nintendo/ Super Mario. 

Chris Pratt upon sharing his views regarding the Mario movie said that he understood the hype or excitement people have for it as it serves as a crucial element of their childhood. Pratt further added that this film which is somewhat based upon the games that had come around 1983 as an arcade classic as well as another one that came out in 1985, wholeheartedly honors the Mario universe. The star also said that it was great to have such good animated movies come out as he can see them with his kids as well. 

In November, the 62-year-old John Leguizamo, who had played the role of Luigi alongside Bob Hoskins in their live-action movie in 1993, revealed that casting Chris Pratt after their phenomenal and breakthrough performance was simply unfortunate. He clarified that he was not throwing any shade toward the actor but was just disappointed that no actor of color had been chosen for the part.
