Coronavirus: Three out of four Americans under some form of lockdown

Almost 3 out of 4 Americans are somehow under lockdown, or maybe they will be soon. More states are intensifying the measures to stem the coronavirus outbreak.

32 out of 50 states are taking steps to order citizens to stay home. However, Maryland, Virginia, Arizona, and Tennessee are the latest states that did that.

Meanwhile, governors are arguing with President Donald Trump about the capacity of testing tools.

The USA now has more than 163,000 COVID-19 cases and more than 3,000 deaths.

It’s more than Italy, the number increased so much last week, which made the USA the nation with the highest number of people tested positive with Covid-19.

According to Johns Hopkins Universit, New York is the most place that has confirmed cases with 914 deaths.

How many Americans are affected by lockdown?

Somewhere in the range of 245 million people are as of now ordered to stay at home, or confronting such requests which become effective later on Tuesday.

Right around 66% of states have given orders for their residents to wait, while the rest of the states have restricted requests as a result.

In Florida, Governor Ron DeSantis, who has been hesitant to force a state-wide request, said he would train individuals in four areas in the south – where the greater part the state’s instances of the infection exist – to remain at home. He said this would go on until at any rate the center of May.

By and large, the “lockdowns” permit individuals to just go out to get basic supplies and meds, or constrained types of activity.

The financial results have been profound, with many people have lost their positions.

As per a gauge of the Federal Reserve, the US national bank, 47 million individuals could be out of work in the coming months, with the US still weeks from the pinnacle of contaminations.
