Evander Kane, the star of the San Jose Sharks, has been deemed innocent in one of the investigations that the NHL is currently conducting regarding the player. However, another probe has been announced by the organization involving Kane.

The List Of Charges Against Evander Kane

On Wednesday, the league announced that no evidence had been found against Evander Kane that would indicate the player was gambling on games in the league. The investigation was launched after his estranged spouse had accused him of the same.

Anna, the wife of Evander Kane, had accused the hockey star, who is now 30, of intentionally tanking games so that he could win bets. She had also accused Kane of abandoning her as well as their baby so that he could go have fun in Europe. He had allegedly done so even while the Bank was taking their house.

The report by the NHL said that their investigation revealed no evidence that would corroborate the accusation against Evander Kane that he bet or gambled in some way on NHL fixtures. There was also no corroborating evidence found that indicated Kane intentionally “threw” or did not play as well as he could to help his team win games. Rather, the report doubted the allegations’ veracity.

The report further clarified that their findings are not influenced by the denial of Evander Kane in any way. There was other uncovered evidence that led to this conclusion. However, they also announced that Kane will be investigated for additional allegations which are unrelated involving possible wrongdoing.

The divorce proceedings of the Kanes have been unceremonious. Both sides have allegedly been victims of the other’s abusive behavior. Evander was granted a restraining order temporarily against Anna in August. Anna has recently applied for a restraining order against Evander Kane.
