Julius Randle has scored a huge 57 points for the New York Knicks. However, that was not enough to save Knicks from a humiliating defeat against the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Madison Square Garden on Monday Night.
The New York Knicks coach hasn’t been happy with the results in their home. Tom Thibodeau directly said that this was a shambolic performance from his team. Randle was dominating the game throughout the whole three quarters. Knicks however was trailing by seventeen points. Julius Randle scored twenty-six alone only in the third quarter of the game that become a new record for the Knicks. However, for all his good intentions, the all-star player failed to help his team win the whole thing.
Jalen Brunson, the guard of New York Knicks said that he brought the whole team back and played unbelievably well in the game. He said that the team needs to back him up to help him give more career nights like this where he can enjoy them.
New York Knicks Got Defeated Despite Julius Randle’s Masterclass:
Julius Randle had shown a great game as he was nineteen for twenty-nine from the field and eight for fourteen from three pointers. He passed his previous record of forty-six points with those stats. The player only played thirty-seven minutes and they made 11 out of 13 attempts from the free throw line.
Randle was the proud big man for New York Knicks today. However, he said very little while discussing what it meant for him to get such an amazing record at the Madison Square Garden. Randle said that Anthony and King are legends of the game. Sitting in the same table with them because of these records makes him happy.
